The Honey Bee makes Cute Valentine Cards

Valentines Day isn’t just about love, it’s about cuteness. Valentine Cards are usually romantic, for someone you love; or just cute, for friends.

Either way, when I started making the honey bee design, I was initially thinking about the honey comb. I wanted a background of the honey comb shape. The bee and the flower came about later; as did the thought of making the honey comb, a honey color.

I went out to my kitchen and found a bottle of honey, and made a translucent shade of True Ochre, a perfect match. I made the background first, working forward to the honey bee. They were all fun to create.

Christmas Themed Paper for Scrapbooking

I had a scrapbook when I was a kid. It was a collection of photos and newspaper articles; things that seemed important for the time. Scrapbooking has become so much different now. They’re meant to be fun and creative. They can be about a theme. There’s little stickers to add and unique ways to highlight photos and more. I like the Scrapbooking of the present. It’s so much more entertaining.

Along those lines, I made some scrapbook paper with some of my Christmas designs. They can be cut out and used any way that you like to enhance your scrapbook. First, there is Santa.

Stained Glass Photo Postage Stamps, Monogram Postage Stamps

I like stained glass; the translucent quality, yet colorful. I also was impressed by vintage picture frames with an elegant oval framing. The two thoughts eventually gelled in my mind to make a watercolor rendering of stained glass, as an oval frame. I outlined the shapes and the oval with a bronze like acrylic paint, to look like solder. The first postage stamps that I made from this painting will showcase a person’s photo, which can serve as an announcement, a congratulations, a celebration, or just because.

Since the oval itself is blank, I also made the design as a frame for monograms. The center color, behind the letter, can be customized by the customer from a drop down menu.

Purple Pumpkin Save the date Stickers

I decided to paint a purple pumpkin yesterday; there was no particular reason that I was aware of. I just knew I wanted it to be purple, and I thought a gold leaf would go well with it, since it was purple.

This design is on many products now, but the most appealing one to me, is how it looks on Wedding Save the date Stickers.

Princess themed Wedding Invitations that are also great for Halloween Weddings

An acquaintance I met wanted Princess themed bridal shower invitations made. She saw one of my wedding invitations that had a white dress with red trim on it:

She liked it but wanted a fuller dress, and she had described the bride’s dress without straps. The other thing that she wanted was a pumpkin carriage in the background, but no magic wands. Other than that, I could let my imagination run free.

I remembered that she also desired a Bridal T-shirt. I didn’t want just a rectangle image on a t-shirt, so I searched around on my art software and found a whimsical looking frame. Wonderful!

Rose in Lavender, Wedding Save the Date Stickers

When I painted the lavender rose in watercolor, I had no idea what the meaning of lavender was. I just knew I liked the color. For those that like to know the meaning though, I did look it up; the color lavender represents gentleness and elegance. Using watercolor for this particular rose painting, I think that gentleness and elegance does come across. The delicate leaves also seem to be making a perfect presentation.

Halloween Canvas Bags that Kids can Decorate

I love Halloween, even as an adult. As I kid, I got to dress up as a favorite character and/or as something I could just get really creative with, with whatever we had lying around at home. As an adult, I get to see the kids in the neighborhood dress up as their favorite characters, and/or whatever. Either way, I still enjoy it.

Another way that I’ve been enjoying Halloween these days, is by making Halloween designs that kids can have fun with. I’ve designed several Halloween Canvas Bags that kids can use as they are, or they can have some extra fun painting them in. Acrylic paint pens and markers are a convenient way to paint them in; there’s no brushes or water bowls needed.

One of the designs I made is three ghosts, who are either floating away, or just waiting for their faces to be added:

I love fun and colorful designs. I kept thinking about a confetti type design that would come out from the child’s photograph, so that they could be the star attraction. The final piece reminds me of confetti, and my daughter said they look like sprinkles to her. Either way, kids are bound to enjoy their special memento photo invitations.

Color in Shirts – Elephant Outline

I love making designs that kids and teens and even adults can have fun coloring in, if they choose.

When I was a kid, I used to do liquid embroidery on table cloths. I would have loved to decorate my clothes too!

Baseball Birthday Invitations

I had went to a meeting and a woman mentioned to me that she would like a baseball pattern on canvas shoes. I didn’t get her contact information, but perhaps with some promotion, she’ll find it here.

As I was making the baseball design, I kept thinking that kids would love having a baseball party. I remembered how the neighborhood kids got together and played baseball in a nearby field and how fun that was, when I was a kid. I did some research and found that there are quite a few searches for baseball birthday invitations. So I went ahead and put this design on birthday party invitations too.

There is a template form to fill in with who the party is for, date, time, etc. Then you can either customize each card and add a recipient’s address or fill that part in later once you receive them. Either way, I hope you have lots of fun; I know the kids will have fun playing, and it gives them something to do while you get everything else ready.
