Cheryl Paton of Creative Brushstrokes, LLC attended an Art Festival in Morgantown

Today was the second time I participated in a local art festival for school kids. The kids were bussed in from various schools and got to go from station to station, of their choice, to participate in that art activity. Some were hands on, as in make a hat out of paper; others were sit down and enjoy some face painting on themselves.

The activities I presented were pointillism pictures, and watercolor pictures made with watercolor pencils.

Pointillism is painting with dots; we used markers for this.

The watercolor pencils are a fun, quick, and easy way to make a watercolor painting.  The kids got to draw with watercolor pencils and then brush on water.

Both activites can be done by the beginner, and are pretty quick to accomplish, making them great choices for an art festival for children.

All the kids seemed to enjoy being there. Music and food was also provided.

Another Bridal Show

I had a lot of fun at the first bridal show, so I’ve decided to participate in another one. This time it will be at our local mall. Over 60 vendors plan to be there, including me, representing Creative Brushstrokes, LLC.

It will be at the Morgantown Mall, in Morgantown, WV on February 8, 2009 from noon until 6:00 p.m.

Bridal Extravaganza in Morgantown, WV

The Waterfront Place Hotel will be holding its sixth annual Bridal Extravaganza on Sunday, January 25, 2009 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Platinum Ballroom.

Creative Brushstrokes, LLC, artist, Cheryl Paton, will be among the vendors there. Come check out what’s new.

The Waterfront Place Hotel is near the Wharf District.
